I've read Killing Lincoln which was written by both Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard. One thing I learned from watching the countless interviews done about this book is it will be a part of a 6 book series that will involve using the word "Killing..." in the title of course. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Because I now know it will be a 6 book series I'll probably buy Killing Camelot (aka Killing Kennedy) just so I can complete the set as they come out. I wasn't really interested in the assassination of Kennedy the way I was/am about Lincoln's but if it's even half as well written with combining a facts and an actual storyline then I'll probably like it as well.
If you've ever been interested in the facts about Lincoln, or Kennedy, and now Jesus Christ, but don't want to be bored by a textbook-style book then this is just what you've been looking for. Both these men have come up with a great recipe for success by taking the story and actually telling the facts as a story.
I've already got this book in my ever-expanding library of books yet to be read but knowing this will be a great and quick read I have jumped it to the head of the line to be my next read after I finish my second collaboration read of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley with Alaina (That's What She Read).
Summary:
Millions of readers have thrilled by bestselling authors Bill O’Reilly and historian Martin Dugard's Killing Kennedy and Killing Lincoln, page-turning works of nonfiction that have changed the way we read history.
Now the anchor of The O’Reilly Factor details the events leading up to the murder of the most influential man in history: Jesus of Nazareth. Nearly two thousand years after this beloved and controversial young revolutionary was brutally killed by Roman soldiers, more than 2.2 billion human beings attempt to follow his teachings and believe he is God. Killing Jesus will take readers inside Jesus’s life, recounting the seismic political and historical events that made his death inevitable – and changed the world forever.
